Even after months of the N95′s release the hype surrounding the ‘multimedia computer’ refuses to die down… Well how could it, with Nokia working so hard to keep it that way!
Symbian Guru and Darla Mack both have the scoop on an upcoming US 3G N95 which scores well above its Euro/Asian brother, the original N95. With a 1200 mAh battery, redesigned multimedia keys and a whopping 128MB of RAM the N95-2 is sure to cause heart break to all existing N95 owners.

This might seem a little steep but using firmware v12 on the N95 this is what i got immediately after bootup!
Free Ram – More than 23 MB!! I think that’s a first for the N95!

Finally the after being initially released in select regions the new firmware for the Nokia N95 is now available for product codes of the Indian Sub Continent.
The new firmware improves the overall speed of the phone, specially the Gallery and the Menu which is indeed welcome. The thumbnails load instantly! The biggest addition in the firmware is the AGPS or the Assisted GPS which greatly improves the time taken for a GPS fix. However please do not expect instant results.
Edit: Assisted GPS means that satellite ephemeris data is pre-loaded via your Internet connection (Thanks Steve!). …
