Nseries – Soul Of The Night

 Soul Of The Night

Nokia has announced Discover Soul of the Night — a new-age tech challenge with Nokia N82. The Wireless Adventure will take place in Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and India.  Nokia is inviting tech enthusiasts to discover, capture and share stories about the best hangout venues and night spots that symbolise the spirit of the city’s nightlife, all to win an all-paid trip for two to Las Vegas!

The adventure will be flagged off at one of the most iconic spots in each city, to hunt down the most happening party taking place on that evening. It will pit 10 teams against each other to discover the best ‘hangout’ venues, ‘night spots’ and ‘hidden treasures’ that symbolise the spirit of the city’s nightlife – all using the new Nokia N82 multimedia computer. The adventure will finish when the teams reach the final destination.

Soul Of The Night

To win the Wireless Adventure, the teams will need to harness the power of Nokia N82 to navigate through the streets of their city at night. They will receive clues that will lead them to discover different landmarks (restaurants/cafes, bars, nightclubs, performance arts venues, night attractions, night sports, shopping and others) and then capture and share images instantaneously on the Internet through the Nseries MBlog application, revealing the ‘Soul of the Night’ in their city in the shortest possible time. To register, applicants will be required to submit their particulars, answer five questions to test their knowledge of nightlife in their city and registrations will be open at different times in each country/city. Curiously India is not mentioned as one of the countries in the Nseries website however it has a dedicated Soul website.

This initiative comes together with the new Nokia N82, Nokia’s latest multimedia computer that looks to redefine mobile photography, which I am currently trialling and pleased with so far. Nokia through this campaign wants to bring to fore the N82’s GPS, the xenon flash equipped Camera and its Mobile Blogging prowess. I really like such forms of advertising over the age old TV commercial method as more people actually end up having got the point of the whole thing rather than just getting an abstract idea of what they were trying to put across.

So if you are in any one of these countries and interested in going to Las Vegas, jump over!
