This pics are great, I think I’m gonna fall in love with this phone. 🙂
Damn… after seeing this I’m not so sure i should be getting the N85 anymore… But it’ll probably take a few months till it gets to South Africa :-/
needless to say whenever nokia launches its high end nseries device everybody becomes amazed and so am i.
m also nt going to be confused wid relacing n95 by n96 or n85 but shall wait for n97 instead………..
they say that the first impression matters the most and the N97 surely STANDS OUT……..
do i wait for the 5800 or N97? :O :O
i m in love with it….but they should give 8mp camera instead 5mp.
I think a 5MP is good enough for me right now… 1500 mAH battery over 8MP any time of the day for me….
I always said my dream phone would be a complete touch device with a slide out QWERTY.
Its almost perfect, if only it had a normal extra slide out number pad then I could text single handedly when required… But I think it would make the device too thick with today’s tech.
You’ve got a customer, Nokia. Bring it out quick.
Jamal, the normal type pad they are hoping to replace with the touch normal, like on the 5800. Looking forward to it.
Now, my contract will be up between June and August of 09, which means by the time I get a new phone and ideally a new carrier, there will be phones coming out and better than this current N97 and another “iPhone killer”. I have had bars and flips and now that touch screens are the new trend and are in, I want one. Actually, I need to upgrade its capability hence a touch screen … it’s about time. However, I am not a fan of slide out QWERTY’s; I really don’t like that BUT the 32 GB internal memory and the fact that it can hold up to 16 GB’s MORE!? Wait-a-minute! My main concern is memory for ALL my music and I understand that I can synchronize my iTunes as well? What the … That is exactly what I want but the stupid physical QWERTY has got to go. Now, I really don’t want it. Why can’t they make an ALL touch device that can hold that much memory without the stupid keyboard? ALL touch is the future now c’mon man!!! I need an all touch with that much memory. Okay, here is my question. Will the N97 have a QWERTY touch keypad and touch dial of course capable? Meaning, is the physical QWERTY just an alternative; secondary option? Otherwise, I am not getting it. HOWEVER, THE MEMORY! … Sigh …
Well, there will be an all touch device from Nokia at some point in time. The thing is not all people like all touch phones, me included.
As far as the N97 having a virtual touch keyboard question goes, definately.
your blog is quite nice!
Thanks mate!
