Voting For The TopMobile20 Competition Is On

We told you about the TopMobile20 Competition being organised by my friend Jeb Brilliant a while back. If you don’t remember – it is an online contest meant to shine a bright light on the very best smartphone software and in the process help the users learn more about them.

This post is to let you know that the voting to decide the winners has started and that the awards will be handed out during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Wednesday evening February 18 at approximately 6pm at the Bel Chica, 60 Carrer de Villarroel, during the GoMo News Blender.

Note: The nominations were dependant on whether the developer registered for the competition, so you might not see all of your favourite applications there.

  1. More “to shine a bright light” on those companies who could afford to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to be nominated. Sorry, Jeb, you’re a nice guy, but the contest is a sham.

  2. This contest is a complete waste of time.

Any ap should have been able to be nominated, to show a true reflection of users favorite aps, a real Top 10 (or 20)

The fact it only recognises aps whose developers registered, renders this competition a farce.

It comes across as nothing more than a marketing exercise, and an attempt by the competition organsier to make some money.

    Nothing to see here.
