Nokia has rolled out a new firmware v. 110.48.125 for the Nokia E75, up from v100.48.78. The new firmware is available over-the-air (OTA) by simply pressing *#0000# from the standby screen and checking for updates. (Detailed guide on how to update OTA here). The phone features user data preservation (UDP) so your data should be fine even after the update, however a backup never hurts. This post is a result of a multitude of factors. Reading different forums where people write off Symbian for other OS’s such as the ones on Blackberrys’ and the iPhone, coupled with vents from a few bloggers but most importantly the attitude of the mainstream media – the TV.

This is not being written because I am a Symbian fanboy and I hate to see people say a word against it, but because some of the criticism is plain unfair and off the mark.

Watching a device getting ripped out of its packaging again and again is silly, yet incredible fun. Pointless, yet addictive.

Today is the day Ladies & Gentlemen. Its official, the Nokia N97 has started shipping and Nokia Conversations has just gone ahead and given us video proof of that. I somehow had I feeling it was going to be today and boy, am I looking forward to the device!

The first official Facebook application for S60 5th Edition devices is here in the form a .4MB Web Runtime widget and is available as a free download from the Ovi Store. The app looks like the one present on the upcoming Nokia N97, but without the home screen widget.
