Nokia XSeries, CSeries, Booklet & Nokia Money On The Anvil
Nokia’s Nseries and Eseries have arguably been the most successful mobile branding exercises ever, but Nseries is quickly running out of numbers and just when we all were wondering what would be next, this interesting information has popped up.

According to a Finnish trademark website Puhelinvertailu, Nokia has trademarked the word ‘Cseries‘. Meanwhile, Digitoday has discovered a new lineup of devices called ‘Xseries‘ on OAMI’s (The Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market) website.

On further digging Stefan from Intomobile found a few other pieces of interest, Nokia has also trademarked the following:
- Nokia Money – According to the description, it is a “Computer software to enable mobile telephones to transfer money from one bank account to another bank account” & “Financial transaction services, namely, providing secure commercial transactions and payment options using a mobile device at a point of sale.” Trademark was filed on July 16, 2009.
- Booklet – According to the description, “Computers, laptops, smart phones; accessories for computers, laptops and smart phones.” This could be the name Nokia’s netbooks come with. Trademark was filed on June 20, 2009.
- Apart from this he lists quite a few Eseries devices that Nokia has trademarked, check out the list here.
The thing about trademarks is that there are a lot of times when they are never used or turned into real world devices, that being said I have a feeling we will see some of these in action, may be not as soon as Nokia World though.
