Jonathan, what you've mentioned seems pretty plausible. I will try and get an official statement from Samsung. The above screenshot is from their website and it says 1Ghz.

I find it funny that they would just advertise it this way in one market when they could 'technically' make this claim everywhere.

As I've posted on a few forums today, there is no new hardware in the Indian release of the i8910HD/OmniaHD. All they're doing is adding the clock speeds of the chips on the architecture which does come out to be over 1GHz.

"OMAP3430 - 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX 530 GPU + 430MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)" -(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_OMAP)

600MHz CPU + 430MHz DSP = 1030 MHz = 1GHz

So, yes, technically it has a clock speed of 1GHz (total), but that also means the rest of the i8910HD's do as well.

The only device that has a core CPU clocked at 1GHz is the Toshiba TG01 with Qualcomm's Snapdragon architecture.

*debunked*
