The Nokia N900 RX-51 Service Manual has just made its way to the internet, making it possible for you to see how your N900 looks from the inside. The manual in addition to providing step by step instructions on how to take your N900 apart also shows an exploded view of the device, a screenshot of which is below.
The manual is for use by trained Nokia service center employees and not for the end user to learn how to reduce the N900 to pieces. I cannot stress how important it …

The E72 press release itself stated that it was designed to build on the success of the E71. It in many ways in very similar to the E71 – dimensions, weight, form factor and so on, infact show the E71 and E72 to a layman on the street and chances are he’ll be at a loss to identify separately.
But there is quite a bit to the E72 that is new. The faster 600 mhz processor, feature pack 2 with all the fancy UI and under the hood improvements, a 3.5mm …

I have had the E72 for a few days now and I am glad to tell you that it pretty much likes up to the tag of being the ‘E71 successor’. I will not go overboard in my praise of the device right now and will give myself a little more time with the phone before I form a definitive opinion.
Meanwhile to kick the E72 coverage off, here is a quick unboxing.

I am extremely glad to say that I have finally been able to get hold of a N900 and the first thing I did was unbox on video for your pleasure. In the brief play I have had with the device I have found it to be extremely snappy and the touchscreen to be very responsive – virtually like a capacitive screen.
It is like having the best of both worlds as the N900′s resistive touchscreen also has stylus support so you can also sketch all you like.

If you recall, Nokia India had organized a ‘Digital Design Bootcamp’ in Delhi two weeks ago and I was fortunate enough to be invited. The USP of this session was that this session would give us an opportunity to an insight into the behind the scene work that goes on to create that Nokia feel that we have grown so accustomed to and feel at home with.
Things kick-started with a discussion around Nokia’s Digital Design strategy, then moved to the story behind the icons, and then onto home screen …

I just came across this awesome Dell deal which allows you to get a shiny new N900 for as low as $480. Sadly, the deal is US only and includes a mail-in-rebate of $50, but if you are in the US and have been thinking about picking up a N900 for yourself, this should provide the motivation.
There is no word on when the pre-orders will ship, but even if they are a little late, the added savings could be well worth it. Before you pull the trigger, one word of …

Things have been a little hectic for me lately, but that will not stop me for bringing you the N97 Mini unboxing, filmed in Helsinki on the first day of ‘The Way We Live Next 3.0′ event.
The video is divided into two parts, the first is a good old unboxing and the second is a N97 Mini overview and comparison with the N97. If I sound a little tired, it is because of all the interview and demoes that I had earlier in the day. Stay tuned for a lot …

I’m at ‘The Way We Live Next 3.0′ and we just heard Peter Schneider, Head of Maemo Marketing from Nokia say that the N900 is now shipping to Europe, Middle-East, Russia and North America. So if you are in these regions, rejoice! If you are in India or any other part of the world that is still waiting for latest shiny toy from Nokia, your wait is not yet over.
Sadly, despite asking I could not get confirmation about if and when the N900 is coming to India. What I did …

I have the immense pleasure of telling you that in a few minutes I will be boarding a plane for Helsinki to attend this year’s ‘The Way We Live Next 3.0′ event at Nokia House. ‘The Way We Live Next 3.0’, in Nokia’s words, aims at providing a dynamic experience, co-created by the community, arranged by Nokia and focused on developing new business opportunities.
