Divx yesterday release a 1.0 version of the Divx Mobile player for Symbian 3rd Edition and 5th Edition devices and if you, like me, have been waiting for Core Player to get their act together and have been disappointed thus far, this could come as a pleasant surprise.
The playback quality for higher resolution clips may stutter, but the audio quality is good. So if have been wanting to play Divx videos on your phone without having to convert them first, now may be the time to get started. Don’t get your hopes too high though. Download links below:
If anyone of uoi has a i8910 to test this app on higher spec hardware, you’re comments are more than welcome.

What do you mean? I had Divx player on my N73 over 3 years ago. Isn’t that S60v3??
Sure. But Divx client for S60 5th Edition is new, plus the 3rd Edition client also has a version 1.0 now.
I was happy to see development but really it’s not so good for real world bitrate use. So, conversion required and I’d prefer to just use Nokia’s Internet Tablet Video Converter for 5th edition use (on native real player).
©®good but not very good.
