The MeeGo 1.1 images for the N900 have just been released into the wild and are now available for download. But before you get too excited, do keep in mind that MeeGo 1.1 not ready to be used as a primetime OS on the N900 and that the images have been released following a release cycle, rather than waiting for everything to mature first.
MeeGo 1.1 is a stepping stone to MeeGo 1.2 which will make the user experience to an acceptable level. There is active discussion happening about the present release on the TMO forums, have a look if you are interested.

Cool, ill have to try it now!
Awesome.
But i noticed that nobody has made a bin image yet, and i’m not geeky enough to understand how to make my own.
(read: I can follow a guide and do whatever they do but as long as I don’t understand what I’m doing, it is not going to work for me..)
If someone builds an image, please let us know! =D
(I’m in Europe, don’t know if that’s going to make a difference..)

As Ubuntu and GNOME has proved, this actually makes better quality software than the “release when ready”-type releases. Especially since only deadlines gets anything close to ready.
(That, and anything Knuth made, but he’s the exception to the rule)
Hmm! thank you
