  1. i think it make little sense for Nokia to do a Mac version since its primarily been strong hold for iPhone fanboys . think of it anyone who buy a macbook instead of PC is most likely to buy a iphone instead of a N8 .

  2. Headline hits the nail right on the head.

@Prashant Singh: You are clueless and lack any understanding of Nokia’s numbers and their penetration in the mac market. There’s a sizable portion of their customers (above 10% of installed base) who use macs – and have their needs continually ignored by the company.

Please tell me how it makes sense for Nokia to continually ignore an important market segment when their numbers are already in significant decline? It doesn’t, thus showing how foolish, stupid and uninformed your comments are.

  3. Previous Ovi Suites really sucked at supporting multiple users. Creating a different windows users accounts solved the problems temporarily, contacts(in Ovi Suite and N8) got mixed up when updating ovi suite.
This feature was best supported by palm like 10 years ago. Pity Nokia doesn’t understand the importance of supporting multiple users on the same computer.

  4. Who cares about some crappy and overpriced Macs?

Linux version of Ovi Suite would be really great, but I really don’t care at all if there will never be Mac version.

  5. In my opinion supporting some niche group like Apple fanboys is waste of money and rime. PC dominates the desktop world so Windows and Linux versions make much more sence than Mac version.

  6. @sam: And I have a different opinion. I have a Mac and Nokia C7 and if Mac support isn’t any better by the time I’ll by my next phone, it is my last Nokia.

    > by my next phone, it is my last Nokia.

Good, bye bye then. One whining Mac user less, you wont be missed.

  8. I am a Mac user and a Nokia user. I sure hope they get a Mac Ovi suite out soon. I use PC suite on my HP laptop and I would like to have it on my Mac as well.

All of you would be suprised at how many Mac users use Nokias. IN fact, before the iPhone, Nokia and Motorola were two of the best phone for Mac support with most phone supporting iSync.
