Nokia promised something big with Angry Birds and they delivered! At the #NokiaConnects SXSW party in Austin, Texas they showed of a very slick Angry Birds video on a 20 storey building. The only adjectives I would use to describe it are awesome, wicked and super cool. Considering the size of the high-rise, half of Austin saw it. You should see it too.

Its been possible to run MeeGo on the Nokia N900 for sometime now, but the use case has been limited to a proof of concept instead of giving the users a workable solution that will let them use the N900 as a primary phone, while it is running MeeGo. According to the Finnish site, Taloussanomat, Nokia is offering its in-house MeeGo devs a salary plus 50% bonus to continue with the company and help avoid a mass exodus after the Feb 11 announcement that Nokia was moving to Windows Phone as its primary operating system.

Google has great looking web versions of its popular apps like Gmail, Calendar, Reader etc. The problem with accessing them from a Symbian device is that because of its default browser we are still presented with the much older, non finger optimized versions of these applications.
