1 Ghz processors have finally come to Nokia’s Symbian devices in the form of the Nokia 500, a 150 Euro smartphone that runs the Symbian Anna OS. The black version of the device is expected to hit stores in Q3 itself, while a white version will be out before the end of the year.
It packs a 5 MP camera along with a 3.2″ touch display with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. The compact 111.3 x 53.8 x 14.1mm size also makes it the lightest Symbian device till date, weighing in at 93 grams.
The device aimed at the mid-range smartphone buyer also comes three extras colored covers in the box, also in the pipeline are purple, azure blue, pink, coral red, orange and dark silver backs. Despite the speed bump, Nokia promises a 5-7 hours talk time, 450+ hours in standby mode or up to 35 hours of music playback for the Nokia 500.
