Remember Dot? The world’s smallest stop motion animation that was done with a Nokia N8. We’ll they’ve followed it with a sequel, the world’s largest stop motion animation, that literally takes the N8 to new heights. The world record for the largest stop motion animation was broken with an incredibly large set, which at its biggest was stretching over 11,000 square feet.
The shots were captured with with a N8, suspended in the air with a huge crane. The film ‘Gulp’ is a short film created by Sumo Science at Aardman, depicting a fisherman going about his daily catch. It was shot at Pendine Beach in South Wales.
But perhaps even more engrossing is the ‘making-of’ video that shows us just how everything was done. Fantastic.
Nokia’s done some pretty cool campaigns over the last few years and this is right up there with the best. If you’re after a little more quality, the videos are also available on Nokia’s Vimeo channel.
