Foursquare Powered Nokia Gift Machine
We’ve seen gift machines before, Coca Cola has played around with them, but they haven’t come close to the geekiness of the Nokia Gift Machine that’s been installed in Glasgow for the Social Media Week Glasgow.
Once you’re at the machine you don’t need to put in a quarter or something similar, all you do is check in! The gift machine is one of the world’s first Foursquare enabled vending machines so all you need to do is:
- Open Foursquare on your phone
- Find the Nokia Gift Machine @ SMW
- Check-in using the #NokiaConnects hashtag
- Share to Twitter
- Collect your prize

“There are over 1000 different prizes to be given away over the week, ranging from candy bars imported from the US through various Nokia accessories and of course, perhaps there might be a phone or two inside to collect!”
So if you’re in Glasgow, make sure you check it out. The machine’s been put together by the smart chaps at 1000 Heads, the much loved company behind WOM World Nokia and they have more about it on their blog.
