New Nokia N8 Firmware v25.007 Now Available [Symbian Anna]

By - On 18 October 2011

Nokia has just started rolling out an update to the Symbian Anna release on the Nokia N8 (and quite possibly other Symbian Anna devices like the C7, E7 as well) in the form of the v25.007 firmware update. The release brings bug fixes and performance improvements to Symbian Anna and is available over the air or via the Nokia Software Updater.

The update is tiny, weighing in at a little less that 1 MB over the air, so don’t expect any drastic changes. The N8  and other Symbian Anna devices support user data preservation, so your data should be safe post the update as well. Look for the update on the E7, C7, C6-01 and the X7 soon.

The update could very well also serve to prep the phone for the Symbian Belle update, we’ll know soon. If you don’t see the update, its possible that it isn’t available for your product code yet.
