The Nokia X6, the first Nokia Xseries device has received a seemingly minor update in the form of the v12.0.091 firmware, up from the older v12.0.088. The firmware is available via the Nokia Software Updater as well as over-the-air, you can hit *#0000# on your X6’s keypad and then search for updates to get this release.
The X6 like most modern Nokia devices features user data preservation, so you can update without the fear of losing data. There is no changelog currently available and my guess is that this release will concentrate on bug fixing and optimizations.
The X6 may just be one of the most good looking phones to come out of Nokia, but the FCC has a way of producing no so flattering shots with the best of devices. The X6 is Nokia’s first capacitive touch Symbian smartphone and packs a 3.2″ screen and 32GB of internal storage. It will be a 450 Euro ‘Comes with Music’ device at the start with a non CwM variant expected in Q1 next year.
Alongside the N97 Mini and X3 (S40 handset) Nokia also introduced the X6, a comes with music Symbian smartphone. The Xseries is the rebranded Xpress Music range and you have got to admit the name sounds nice and the X6 looks pretty visually appealing as well.
The device packs a 3.2″ touchscreen, 32 GB of storage and this is what Nokia Conversations had the following to say about the X6.
Did we mention the 35 hours of music playback? Well what about 16 days standby time, a 5-megapixel camera and Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash, TV-out, video editing, online sharing, Nokia Music store, full web browser and Flash Lite support. Still want more? Okay then, A-GPS, Ovi Maps and Playlist DJ. If you fancy a bit of gaming, then Spore is included, along with DJ Mix Tour and Asphalt4. Phew.
