Before you get your hopes up, I would like to warn you before hand that you mileage with this technique may vary and some of you might even find it to be completely useless. However, as beggars can’t be choosers and we are yet to see anything that allows copying from the browser, this work around might come in handy.

How To Copy Text From The S60 Browser

The method, courtesy of Arjun from Abhista’a Blogs is simple and combines two free applications – Multiscanner and Screenshot. All you need to do is take a screenshot of the page from which you want the text and use the Nokia Multiscanner to extract the text from it.

In my experience, the text that Multiscanner got out was usually accurate but the spaces were messed and there were a lot of foreign characters in it, still something at least. Get Multiscanner from NokiaAddict here and Screenshot from here.

I just came across this neat Flash Lite file that transforms the S60 devices into an iPhone for all those of you who like the slick interface. It is not compatible with Flash Lite 3 but runs smoothly on the inbuilt Flash application. It is great to use as a screensaver also. However certain icons such as YouTube do not perform the corresponding task.
