Following on from the N78, the venerable 6220 Classic has received an “over-the-air” update which takes its current firmware version to 3.23. The release v3.23 includes improved stability with Bluetooth (headsets & car kits) and Navigation. The 1.5 MB update is available via the device manager – Menu > Settings > Data Mgr. > Device Manager. Select Options > Check for Updates.
Having tried OTA updates on a N78 I can vouch for their ease of use and user data preservation. Updating is highly advisable and quite a breeze, really. However, a backup never hurts.
Did you manage to get the update before it was withdrawn?
Do you have any idea why the firmware was pulled back?
I’m not too sure, may be a bug or something. Hopefully it’ll be back soon on the NSU too.
